PORTLAND, MAINE (February 16, 2011) – McClain Marketing Group, a strategic marketing solutions firm with offices at 75 Washington Avenue in Portland, today announced that it received 11 awards in the Eighth Annual Service Industry Advertising Awards (SIAA) national competition. Three were Gold Awards (Maine Huts & Trails/total ad campaign; Maz Group Real Estate/logo letterhead design; Verrill Dana/newspaper ad series); two were Silver (Compass Rose/brochure; Linked/logo letterhead design); two were Bronze (Clark Insurance/total ad campaign; Maine Technology Institute/logo letterhead design); and four were Merit Awards (Carolina George/website; Kaiser Permanente/employee communications program; Linked/website; Sebasticook Valley Hospital/logo letterhead design).
Nearly 2,000 entries from more than 400 advertising agencies and 1,000 institutions throughout the country were received for this year’s awards competition. A national panel of judges evaluated and rated entries in 12 groups and 27 categories. Every entry was reviewed for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal, and overall “breakthrough” advertising content.
